I think Makers Mark is a great bourbon that appeals to a lot of different people. The smooth vanilla taste is always consistent and you can find Makers pretty much everywhere. I recently picked up a couple of handles for less than $70.

I wouldn't put Crown on the top shelf anymore. I used to like it a lot, but that was before I really developed a taste for bourbon. The taste just doesn't vibe with me like a good american whiskey does. I would definitely put Makers on the top shelf, sure there are others that are more...."exotic", but Makers is a perfectly made bourbon imo.

it's a different bird..I like mixing things up with a canadian...I find it easier to sit around during the day and drink Canadians easier
bourbans seem like more of a "night" drink

Golf balls, tumblers (plastic ones, but ), drink stirrers, and probably some other s*** that I can't remember.
Nothing really special, but it's free and there's no hassle.

I love Maker's. It was one of my first experiences with alcohol. Still drinking it every chance I get either on the rocks or as an Old Fashioned. About the only other Bourbon that I enjoy regularly is Knob Creek. Both are very good. Knob Creek has a bit more flavor, but each is good in different ways.
