It's just a little much IMO. 89 threads on AR with the word in it, 7 on LS2. That of course is not counting on the intentional misspellings. IMO, it's fine to make a joke in a thread, but a whole thread about it is tactless and humorless. Mind you, this is coming from a guy that almost fell off his chair laughing at the idea of a dog getting punched in the face so it should really say something

Agreed. I was thinking the same thing as well. If AJ wants to come into a thread and give a "Nigga Please" to a post....by all means do it. When I see threads with that word all over it as soon as the forum loads, Im watching my shoulder to make sure nobody sees it. There are quite a few black people who work around me. On top of that, our agency just recently got out of a lawsuit from some black people over supposed racial discrimination.

Good point, didn't think about it from that angle, but I would hate for someone to look over my shoulder and see it plastered all over the screen.

Your thread is the PERFECT example of what I'm talking about. It was posted right there on the front page of the Barstool for all to see, guests and members alike. The actual meaning or intent is moot, by it's very existance, it could have alienated prospective users and/or sponsors.

I think that I'm going to let things continue as they have been. If a member is being a giant douchebag, the other members should harass him relentlessly about it, self policing the forum, so to speak.

Ugly words don't appear in thread titles all that often, so unless they start to, I see no reason to start making a big deal out of it.

Kyle, I definitely see your point though. Even I spent less time here at work yesterday because of that. I didn't want one of my coworkers to see it.

Yesterday was the first time it's been an issue for me. If it starts being a regular thing, I'll probably be forced to do something about it. I don't want people to be afraid to browse at work.
